Degrees and Certifications:

Ms. Sarah Stannard

Hello, Judson Rockets!

My name is Sarah Stannard and this is my first year as a biology teacher at Judson High School but my 12th year in the classroom.  I have taught 7th and 8th grade science as well as high school courses in biology, earth science, zoology, aquatic science, and environmental science in both Texas and Colorado.

I have a BS in Wildlife Biology from Texas State University and have worked professionally as an environmental scientist, park interpreter, and conservation outreach specialist.  I love the beauty and intricacy of the natural world and find great joy in helping students to understand and appreciate living things.

I have two adult children and 3 pugs that are the loves of my life.  I like gardening, wildlife photography, and watching nature documentaries (Shark Week!), but my happy place is in or near water.  I love swimming and snorkeling and will be working towards my SCUBA certification in 2023.

I am happy to be a part of the JHS community and looking forward to a spectacular school year!
