Ms. Elia Hernandez
Welcome back Rockets! My name is Elia Hernandez, and this year I will be either your Principles of Law or Law I teacher. This will be my 7th year of teaching (2 years- Preschool, 3 years- Hospitality at the Fabian Dale Dominguez State Jail, and 1 year- Principles of Law and Law I at Judson High School).
I was born and raised in El Paso,TX, where I attended Del Valle High School. In August of 2008, I relocated to San Antonio in pursuit of continuing my education and received my Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice. In 2014, I started working for Windham School District as a Testing Specialist for GED and TABE for incoming male offenders. After two years, I was given the chance to teach hospitality to the individuals who were almost ready to be released. I would help them get certified in OSHA, Custodial Maintenance, ServSafe (food handlers), and Customer Service Specialist. During the Summer and Christmas Breaks, I would also teach Parenting Class which would help them for court purposes. In 2020, I then took a position with the City of San Antonio Municipal Court as a Juvenile Court Case Manager assigned to Judson ISD. Last semester, I was offered this teaching position and decided to call Judson High School my campus.
I have two wonderful daughters that mean the world to me. Alex will be starting her junior year at the University of Incarnate Ward and she is studying Criminology. Aile is going to be a seventh grader with all honor classes and is a Star Dancer for her school. I also have a six-year-old Yorkie Schnauzer grand-doggie who is also very spoiled.
Please feel free to contact me by email (ehernandez738@judsonisd.org) or phone at (210)945-1100 ext 19433.
Let's have an AWESOME year!!!
