Welcome to my corner of the educational world! I'm Nathaniel West, a dedicated educator with a passion for shaping young minds and fostering holistic growth. With a diverse background spanning both elementary and middle school education, along with a rewarding stint as a Math and Reading Interventionist, I've had the privilege of guiding students at various stages of their academic journey.

 

 

I embarked on this rewarding path with two years of invaluable experience in an elementary school setting, where I had the opportunity to lay the foundations of learning for young scholars. I was also a Math and Reading Interventionist for one year. Following that, my journey led me to serve as a Teacher and Athletics Coach at Metzger Middle Middle School for two enriching years.

 

 

My educational journey is backed by solid qualifications. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in History, which has provided me with a unique perspective on the world and its history. My thirst for knowledge led me to pursue a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction, further enhancing my ability to craft effective learning experiences.

 

 

I am certified in EC-6 in all subjects, giving me the versatility to guide students across various disciplines. Additionally, my certifications in Physical Education K-12, Health K-12, and ESL K-12 underscore my commitment to promoting physical well-being and fostering inclusivity in education.

 

My mission as an educator is to empower students to not only excel academically but also become well-rounded individuals ready to face the challenges of an ever-evolving world. Through a combination of classroom learning and the valuable lessons that athletics can provide, I aim to inspire the leaders and innovators of tomorrow.
