Hi! I'm Ms. Vega and I am a 4th and 5th grade Reading, Writing, and Social Studies teacher.  I started my teaching career 27 years ago, teaching various levels of high school math in New Jersey.  I moved to Texas in 2001 and took a break from teaching to be a Senior Custom Construction Mortgage Loan Officer because of my love for math.  After doing that for 19 years, I decided to go back to teaching.  My love for educating and helping children grow is what brought me back to teaching.  I've had many years of experience working with students with mental, physical, and learning disabilities. Therefore, I feel I can reach just about any type of student academically.  

     I was raised in a military household so I've lived everywhere, but I still call New York City home because that's where I lived the longest and where most of my family is.  I come from a big family of 3 sisters and 1 brother and I now have 1 brother-in-law, 1 sister-in-law, 2 nephews, and 3 nieces.  I love spending time with my family and my boyfriend of many years.
