Dear Judson family, 

Hello, and welcome back to school. First, I would like to formally introduce myself. My name is Souvuoch Heng, and I will be your children’s STAAR Math teacher in the upcoming year. Because of this, I like to take the opportunity to tell you about a few things about myself-both personally and professionally.   

 I am originally from Cambodia.  My family consists of my mom, dad, older sister, brother-in-law, a wonderful niece, and nephew.  I received my B.S. degrees in Secondary Mathematics Education from Southwest Baptist University.  This will be my first year at Judson ISD. 

 This school year’s going to be an exciting one.  I am looking forward to helping your child grow and succeed in their academic learning.  We will work together in making our classroom a great learning environment.  We will be doing lectures, and a wide variety of fun and exciting hands-on activities throughout our time together.   

 Here are some exceptions I have for the children in my class.  Be polite, be prepared, be prompt, be productive, and most importantly come in with an open and curious mind.  As I have expectations for the students, I also have expectations for myself. That is to treat all students fairly, be respectful of every child, be professional, and be consistent.
