Ms. Michelle Garcia

Hello, I'm Michelle Garcia, an experienced healthcare professional with a passion for making a difference in people's lives. I have over 25 years of combined medical experience in various areas, including 4 years as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) in a clinical setting and, most recently, as a school nurse in a public high school setting. Prior to that, I spent 8 years working in the private sector of Emergency Medical Services (EMS) as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) and a home health care provider, medical billing and collections, medical coding.

I began my career as an EMT-Basic and progressed to EMT- Paramedic where I held both national and Texas certifications. I gained  experience in the fast-paced environment of EMS in the private sector, where I learned to handle emergency situations and provide critical care to those in need. This invaluable experience shaped my skills and instilled in me a sense of responsibility and compassion .I had a strong desire to further my education in the field of nursing. I worked for a reputable nationwide managed care family practice clinic before transitioning into the role of a school nurse, which has been incredibly fulfilling for me.

I obtained my LVN education at the esteemed Baptist School of Health Professions in San Antonio, Texas, where I graduated with Honors from the program.Currently, I am in the last semester of my senior year on the completion of a Bachelor of Science degree in University Studies at the University of Texas at Arlington, with a focus on nursing and social work courses.

Throughout my education, I have developed a deep appreciation for learning and a strong desire to contribute to the field of education. I have a genuine passion for working with children and being a positive role model in their lives. My goal is to make a lasting impact on their well-being and help them thrive in their educational journey. I feel truly blessed to be accepted as part of the team here at Judson High School, and I am excited about the opportunities that lie ahead. Collaborating with the dedicated staff, I look forward to creating a nurturing and supportive environment for students to learn and grow. It is with my medical background, dedication to education, and genuine care for the well-being of others, that I am confident in my ability to excel as an educator. I am excited about this new beginning in my career and the chance to make a difference in the lives of those I have the privilege of having in my classroom.
