Welcome to 8th Grade RLA! I am Mrs. Schumann and I have been teaching reading language arts for eighteen years. I graduated college from New York Institute of Technology with a Bachelor’s in Interdisciplinary Studies, Behavioral Science, English, and History and a Master’s Degree in Education: School Counseling.

I am a believer that anyone can love reading, it is just a matter of finding a book that interests the child! I am looking forward to a productive and successful school year!  We will begin the school year by working on our class and school procedures and policies. We will work on comprehension, writing, grammar, comparing and contrasting, and critical thinking skills. I am very excited to get started and meet all of you!
