Hello Falcon Family!!
My name is Ms.DeAndra Owens and I am truly excited for the 2023 - 2024 school year. Although this is my first year teaching, I am looking forward to leading each and every one of my students through a successful year.
I was born and raised here in San Antonio, Texas, and a product of JISD. I earned my bachelor's degree from Texas Southern University where I was a collegiate cheerleader. I then received my master's at American Military University while simultaneously serving active duty in the United States Air Force. I currently serve part-time as a reservist.
I spend most of my free time relaxing at the gym, painting, and watching anime. It is a pleasure to be teaching at the exact same middle school I attend. It is my obligation to make an impact on all my student's life and ensure their math skills improve, prepared them to ace the STAAR, and enjoy coming to school each day. This will be a great school year!
