My name is Mrs. Belinda Rangel. I was born in Alice, Texas but lived most of my adult life in Freer, Texas and have been a San Antonio resident for 5 years. I am an educator by heart. It has always been my passion to work with students to support them in being their best. It gives me joy to witness success, confidence, and happiness in a student as they learn and grow throughout their educational experience. I presently have the pleasure of pursuing my passion of teaching and witnessing student growth at Candlewood Elementary School, Apple Unit. I am a graduate of Texas A&M University in Kingsville, Texas with a Bachelor’s Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and a Master’s Degree in Guidance and Counseling. I am a certified teacher in the areas of Elementary Self Contained Education, grades 1-8, Reading Specialist grades 1-8, Special Education PK- 12 and I am also a certified School Counselor, PK -12. My greatest joy is spending time with my granddaughters and family. I am looking forward to the 23-24 school year at Candlewood Elementary under an amazing leadership and supportive staff.
