Hello! My name is Craig Turner and I am the music teacher at Rolling Meadows Elementary. I am starting my 24th year teaching music and I'm excited to begin my first year at RME. I am from Victoria, Texas, where I started my musical journey in 6th grade band as a percussionist. Playing percussion led me into high school band and then to the world of drum and bugle corps, where I was able to perform all over the United States and Canada. After several years of teaching local drumlines in Victoria, I decided that I wanted to become a teacher. I attended the University of North Texas to earn my Bachelor's Degree in Music Education and I have been teaching ever since.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my wife and two grown sons. I also enjoy mountain biking, a sport that has led me to explore many of the parks and natural areas in the state of Texas.

I look forward to sharing many types of musical experiences with my students. The concepts we will explore in music stretch across all subjects and I can't wait to begin our musical adventure with my new Rolling Meadows family!
