Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Jamie Grace Roman

Hello! My name is Jamie Grace and I am an RTI Teacher at Hopkins Elementary School. I grew up in a very small town in Central Illinois. I am the middle of five children. I moved to San Antonio at the very beginning of the pandemic and have loved every minute so far. I am married and have an adorable son named Arlo, and have a little one on the way!

My educational journey is long but worth it. I graduated first from my local Community College where I got my Associates Degree. I transferred to The University of Alabama at Birmingham to pursue my degree in Elementary Education. I graduated with a 4.0 in the spring of 2014 from UAB. I then began my Masters Degree in Elementary Education where I graduated with a 4.0 from The University of West Alabama. I love to learn and wanted to dig further into the leadership field, so I went back to school to complete my Educational Specialist Degree in Teacher Leadership again from The University of West Alabama, where I maintained a 4.0. Maybe one day in the future I will tackle the Doctoral program, but for now I am doing what I love! I am excited to be here at Hopkins and look forward to getting to know the families and community that call Hopkins home.

I began my teaching career in 2014 in Alabama, where I served for six years across multiple grade levels for Birmingham City Schools. I moved to San Antonio and began teaching for Judson ISD in 2020.
