Welcome to my site. My name is Mrs. April Jones and I am looking forward to an exciting year at Woodlake Hills Middle School!

Allow me to introduce myself; I am an Arizona native, grew up in Tucson, and moved to San Antonio from Phoenix. I am a wife, mother of two beautiful and accomplished daughters, and a teacher. I love reading, spending time with my family, and traveling with my husband, who is also a teacher.

I received my Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Arizona State University. I chose to further my education by earning a Master of Arts in Teaching with an emphasis in Special Education and then earned another Master of Education with an emphasis in Reading from Grand Canyon University. I love teaching and began in 2004; I truly enjoy teaching middle school. Prior to teaching middle school, I taught high school English in Arizona and at a local high school.

I am excited about this new school year and helping each student become life-long learners.
