Greetings Jaguar Parents!
I am Delila Primer, the Dyslexia Therapist for Judson Middle School. I am so excited about this year and all that it has to offer our students.
A little about me. I am originally from Austin, Texas. I attended Lanier High School and Huston-Tillotson University. I transferred to the University of Texas at Arlington in Arlington, Texas for my sophomore year (2002). I became the mascot for the university in 2004 and graduated with my undergraduate degree in 2006 for Interdisciplinary Studies and a concentration on Child Studies. I later obtained my Master's degree with honors in Triple Literacy ( ESL, Master Reading Teacher, Reading Specialist) in December 2012.
Since my undergraduate degree, I have served 17 years in the field of education, earning 6 certifications, and observing the various changes in education since 2000. I have worked in districts all around the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. My husband and I made our way down south in 2018 for him to continue his graduate education.
In San Antonio, I have worked as a self-contained elementary school teacher and now as a Dyslexia Therapist.
I have been a general education teacher, and I realized my love and joy of education is housed under the special education umbrella.
I am proud to serve your child this year and focus on building those pathways to increase your child's reading skill set.
