I was born with Art in my soul, I have come a great distance to this place where I belong. I have loved to do artistic and crafty things since I can remember. My mother tells a story of when I asked her to draw a poodle and she drew a stick dog. Disappointed by her rendition, I soon returned with a drawing of my own, that she says "was more artistic and fluffy".

Not having an art program in my rural elementary school, my mother found ways to keep me growing in the direction of my talent. In middle school, I was privileged to meet a local artist who would provide traveling painting workshops in the school cafeteria. I truly enjoyed every moment of every workshop. Soon, the more mature artists in the community, who also participated in the workshops, were driving me to our art teacher's ranch to continue with weekly lessons.

When I was in high school, our family relocated to another community and I was unable to continue the lessons that I so enjoyed, but was placed in Honors Art and had the ability and the freedom to continue creating.

After graduating from High school, I attended Texas A&I University in Kingsville and studied Architecture and Interior Design. Later in my life, I pursued a career in elementary education. After teaching first grade for nine years, I jumped into the ART REALM and have been here ever since. What a joy it is to share and do what I love each day. I have truly found my happy place!
