Visiting Campuses
A photo ID is required when visiting any Judson ISD campus. Please understand that if you cannot present a photo ID, you will not be allowed on campus.
Verification of Visitors:
- Visitors will be verified during events where students are accompanied by their families, i.e., Open House, Meet the Teacher, Family Nights, etc. The receiving campus will use the visitors' photo identification, i.e., Driver’s License, Employee ID, Passport, State Issued ID Card, Military ID, etc., to verify that the visitor is, in fact, listed as a guardian/emergency contact in Skyward/Frontline.
- If the visitor is not listed in Skyward, the visitor has two choices; they may either go through the Raptor process or wait outside and not attend the event.
Raptor Process for Visitors:
- Anytime students are in the building during regular school hours, ALL VISITORS are required to go through the Raptor process. This would include but is not limited to parent conferences, lunch visits, awards ceremonies, Field Day, or Book Fairs. Just as the Verification of Visitors process, this requires a photo identification.

School Safety
We are committed to ensuring that everyone goes home safe! Student and staff safety is of paramount concern at Judson ISD. Because a student's well-being is a pre-requisite before education can begin, Judson ISD's Department of Safety and Security works in coordination with the Judson ISD Police Department, the Department of Student and Family Support Services, local law enforcement and first responders to ensure the health and safety of all of our students and staff. Please browse the programs and services below for more information on what Judson ISD is doing to guard our students and their education.
School Supplies
|
Standard Response Protocols
The Judson Independent School District partners with the I Love You Guys Foundation to use Standard Response Protocols (SRP). Local Law Enforcement Agencies, the Judson ISD Police Department, and the Department of Safety and Security use the SRP to ensure all processes are aligned and all language is similar when responding to emergency situations, whether it is at the campus or an alternate location.
Secondary Supplies
Most secondary students will receive more information regarding supplies during the first week of school.
Backpacks
Judson ISD will not require students to have clear backpacks for the 2024-2025 school year.
Attendance
In-person attendance and engagement are vital to a student’s success in school. State law requires children to attend school each day when instruction is provided. This year, Judson ISD will not be providing any models of virtual learning. Families are encouraged to work directly with their child’s school if they foresee issues with attendance.
Health/Immunizations
Judson ISD Health Services would like to remind the community to get the required vaccines before school starts. State law requires proof of acceptable evidence of vaccination prior to entry, attendance, or transfer to a child-care facility or public or private elementary or secondary school in Texas. Click here to view all immunization requirements.
The district will be hosting immunization drives to ensure students are ready for the upcoming school year. *Registration is required* Click here to register!
Dress Code/Student Code of Conduct
Judson ISD has updated the student code of conduct. Click here to view the student handbook.
Lunch
Free/Reduced priced lunch applications are now more important than ever. Click here to apply for free/reduced lunch. If you're unable to apply for free/reduced lunch, you can see the lunch prices here, along with information on how to access your student's lunch account, what a student will receive with their lunch, if they need a special diet and some facts about our Child Nutrition Department.
Transportation
Transportation requires ALL STUDENTS to be registered to ride a bus every school year. Registration will help identify who is riding a Judson ISD School Bus. It takes only a few minutes to register your child using Travel Tracker by TransACT!
Judson ISD does not provide transportation for students who reside outside the campus they are originally zoned to or out-of-district transfers students.
After School Care
The JISD Adventure Club is a program that includes homework time, mind-stimulating games, reading/quiet time, character and leadership-building activities, behavioral and etiquette skills, science centers, storytelling, music, art and crafts, board games, physical activities (games) and much, much, more. The Program Guidelines for Parents and Guardians explains the policies, procedures, and the program in full. The Adventure Club Program is available at 20 elementary locations throughout the district, proudly serving our PK4 through 6th-grade students. The program is open Monday - Friday with the exception of observed JISD school holidays. The JISD Adventure Club operates from the time of dismissal until 6 pm.
Family Resources
Judson ISD partners with different organizations to provide items and services for students and families in need. The district's students or families can contact their school counselor or social worker if they need assistance. Our goal in Judson ISD is to provide assistance to all of our students to ensure they have all items needed to start the school year and throughout the school year. The services we provide are as follows:
- Clothing vouchers are provided by our community partner, the Greater Randolph Area Services Program.
- Communities in Schools provides backpacks and supplies for students participating in their program.
- San Antonio Threads provides clothing for students.
- The Salvation Army Shoe In program provides shoes for students.
- The Assistance League of San Antonio provides clothing to 25 students at each of our elementary campuses.
Military Families
JISD provides support to military-connected students and their families to help ease the challenges they face due to transitions. It is our goal to make sure every military connected student receives the quality education and emotional support they deserve. Click here to learn more.
Parenting Program
The purpose of the School-Age Parenting Program is to reduce the number of students who drop out of school due to pregnancy and/or parenthood and to recover young parents to the education system, promoting graduation with employable skills. Click here to find out more.
Foster Care Liaison
Foster Care Liaisons are responsible for building capacity and infrastructure within their district to support students in foster care and ensure LEAs fulfill both state and federal educational requirements. Ideally, they will also coordinate with individual campuses, community services agencies, caregivers, local colleges, and advocates involved with the child welfare system.
