It's A Playoff Trifecta! Rockets, Patriots, & T-Birds

It's not every year that each comprehensive high school in a district makes the playoffs...so this is a time to remember, relish, and ride as far as possible.  Each team is hoping for the best and taking each game separately as a challenge.  The Rockets have been so close for the last several years...the Thunderbirds have dealt with some challenging years in the district position they were in...and the Patriots are working through their first varsity season, and they're in post-season play!  Let's do all we can to support these kids that are playing in memorable times.

Judson Ag Science Student Gets National Honor

Judson FFA student Mallori Johnson was honored at the national FFA convention in Indianapolis, Indiana. There she accepted her American FFA Degree.
This is an incredible achievement. Just to be eligible, FFA members must have earned and productively invested $10,000 through a supervised agricultural experience (SAE) program in which they start, own or hold a professional position in an existing agricultural enterprise. Recipients must also complete 50 hours of community service and demonstrate outstanding leadership abilities and civic involvement.
Each recipient of the American FFA Degree receives a gold American FFA Degree key and certificate after being recognized on stage at the national convention. Out of all of the nation’s FFA members, about only 2%  accomplish this degree. This is an incredible honor for Mallori to be able to walk the stage and receive this degree.

Rocket Choir Shines In TMEA Event

Recently Judson High School choir members participated in the Texas Music Educators Association Region 11 Clinic and Concert. Twenty Judson Rockets were selected to participate in this event, and they enjoyed making music among their fellow honored musicians. They worked with Dr. Mark Aaron Humphrey of St. Mary’s University and Dr. John May, former Fine Arts Director of SAISD. Thirteen of the Judson choir members will be moving on to the next level of competition in December. Way to go Judson!
