Wagner T-Birds Making History

It is history in the making for Wagner High School.  The Thunderbirds are in the State Semifinals for the first time and they want to make the most of the opportunity.  The hard work and dedication that the T-Birds have invested have brought them farther than other previous Wagner football team. Only Alvin Shadow Creek stands in the way of the school's very first State Championship game.  Coach Bruce and his staff have really worked hard with this team and the players are responding by giving their all.  See what local media is saying about this history-making run by Wagner.

Demarvin Leal Presented All-American Bowl Jersey

Demarvin Leal is a big reason the Judson Rockets have gone deep into the playoffs this year. He is an anchor on the defensive line and has caught the eye of many college recruiters. He was presented with the official Army All-American jersey in a special ceremony at the Performing Arts Center formally recognizing his selection.

While he has already signed a national letter of intent to play next year at Texas A&M University, he will be on a big national stage in January when he plays in the Army All-American Bowl in the Alamodome.  The game will be January 5th.

Wagner Basketball Standout Signs To Go North

Jalen Jackson recently signed his National Letter of Intent to the University of North Texas to play basketball for the Eagles.  Jalen has been a 4-year starter and integral part of the basketball program every year.  He was part of the 2016-2017 State Finalist team when he was named to the All-Region team.  Jalen has been an all-district player for the T-Birds all four years.  He is a true competitor and will be missed at Wagner High School, but will be a valuable asset to the University of North Texas.  Jalen is pictured with his family and Coach Rodney Clark.
