Red Ribbon Week: Stand Against Drugs

Everyone has their own unique potential to offer their community and even the world. That has a lot of power because that can have such an impact. But drug abuse short-circuits a person's potential and keeps them from being everything they can be.  Red Ribbon Week is all about encouraging everyone to be drug-free so each person can develop and grow their true capabilities.  Our campuses will be participating in Red Ribbon activities throughout the week of October 22-26, 2018 and we invite you to join in supporting them.

College Fair: It's About Options

Ah, to be young again and have the options to explore what best fits one's interests and talents...like the upcoming 2018 College Fair. This opportunity is coming up at Wagner High School October 23, 2018, from 6 pm to 7:30 pm.  College and Military representatives will be on hand to give students a rundown on their unique selling point and how best to pursue those offerings.

JISD Hall Of Honor Deadline This Friday

This Friday, October 19th is the last day to get your Hall of Honor nominations forms in. Judson ISD has so many people who have made a positive impact on their school and community over the years and we want to recognize them. The JISD Hall of Honor is that opportunity to honor those people who have put in the time and made the sacrifices to be not only great in their chosen field, but also influential in a way that shows leadership. These individuals make those around them better.

There are two categories in which to nominate someone. The JISD Athletic Hall of Honor and the JISD Civic Hall of Honor. These are individuals who have distinguished themselves athletically while a student in JISD and beyond or through their professional or personal contributions.

There’s a simple online form to nominate someone and outline his or her qualifications for this honor. To start your submission just CLICK HERE. Again, the deadline is Friday, October 19th.

National School Lunch Week, Since 1962

It's National School Lunch Week and our campuses are serving up not only healthy meals but promoting the importance of good nutrition for effective learning. Dr. Ball was spotted at Woodlake Hills Middle School serving up lunch and Hopkins Elementary School's Administration was also hitting the serving line too. National School Lunch Week was created in 1962 by President John F. Kennedy to celebrate and spotlight the benefits of the National School Lunch Program. This week recognizes the importance of a healthy school lunch and what it does to fuel a productive learning day at school and beyond.  30 million students are served healthy lunches every school day...5 billion annually.
