Wagner Students Place In Honor Choir Auditions

Congratulations to six Wagner High School choir students who competed in the TMEA Region XI Honor Choir competition recently. All six students made it to the Region Mixed Choir.

Students are (from left to right): 
Makayla Hall (8th chair Soprano 1); Leo Peery (1st Chair Bass 1); Keana Bowdry (10th Chair Soprano 2); Julia Ly (14th Chair Soprano 2); Lafililo Faafiti (2nd Chair Tenor 1); and Rebecca Wilgen (4th Chair Soprano 2). 
Students who placed in the top 10 of their voice part will continue on to the next round of competition. Good luck!

Senior Celebration For Rocket Dance Members

Starlite, Galaxie, and Satellite Seniors celebrated their achievements at the Senior Game on November 9th. The Galaxies and Starlites were able to perform with their parents on the field that evening. What a special event for them and their families. 

Rocket Drumline Marching To A Quality Beat

Congratulations to the Judson HS Drumline for getting 2nd Place at the South Texas Drumline Classic recently. They also earned awards for Best Tenor Line and Best Snare Line! Great Job!! Of course, we know they do a great job each time we all go to a football game...they get everyone moving and into the spirit...THANK YOU!!

Metzger Dominates At All Region Band Auditions

Recently students from the Metzger Band traveled to Resnik Middle School to compete in the TMEA All-Region Band Auditions. Out of 800 students, the following students earned a chair in the prestigious All-Region Band. The 24 students were the most from any school to make the Region Band. Out of the 24, 11 are in 7th grade and have only been playing their instruments for 14 months! They will join the other Region Band students from across San Antonio and surrounding communities for a concert on Saturday, December 8 at the Judson PAC.

Judson Band Places At US Bands Contest

The Judson Varsity Marching Band ended their competitive marching season recently recording a new highest score in school history with a 96.375, earning 2nd place, Best Music, and Best Percussion at the USBands Remo Series Finale. Congratulations to all band and color guard students on a great season!
