Jingle Bell Jamboree Just Around The Corner

The Christmas Season has officially started and for many people the typical gift giving is not good enough.  We're not talking necessarily spending big bucks, but there's going to be a great variety of unique gift items at this year's Jingle Bell Jamboree at a range of prices.  There will be a buffet of vendors with all sorts of ideas for that someone who might be a little difficult to please or know what to give. And the event always has great student performances of great Christmas music that make the whole event more fun and festive.  It's at Judson High School Saturday, December 3, 2016 from 10 am to 4 pm.  Not only will the gift ideas and the music be great, but it's also a great way to support the Judson Education Foundation!

Picture Yourself Serving On The JEF Board

The Judson Education Foundation is a nonprofit organization committed to supporting students and teachers financially through scholarships and grants.  It does this through mobilizing resources and developing community partnerships.  Leadership of this important organization is important and the JEF Board is open to new board members at this time.

During the school year, the JEF – Board of Directors meet on the 2nd Tuesday of each month (7 times a year) for a 45 minute – 1 hour meeting.  The directors adhere to bylaws and policies.  Each director serves a 3-year term.

Walmart Supports Education With Donation To JEF

Judson ISD Superintendent Dr. Carl A. Montoya was honored to accept a $1,000 donation from Walmart Neighborhood Store #4056.  The donation supports the efforts of the Judson Education Foundation to fund student scholarships, as well as teacher and principal grants.

Principal Scholarships Make Big Impact

The Judson Education Foundation is all about helping students and innovative teachers with resources that can help push them over the top to excellence.  But it also includes principals.  Last year JEF started Principal Grants to help out campuses that had special projects or initiatives that had great potential, but lacked funding.  The Judson Education Foundation came through with $15,000  for three schools. Judson Middle School, Copperfield Elementary and JECA were the big winners.  Each principal getting a grant has some special plans for the funding.  You can ask them...I'm sure they'll be glad to tell you all about it.  Special thanks to Elizabeth Kuhlmann of RBFCU who is also the Vice President of the Judson Education Foundation for her support in awarding these grants.

JEF Golf Tournament Raises Big Bucks

What a wonderful day for golf at Brackenridge Golf Course. After an iffy week of weather, the clouds broke open blue skies and the greens dried out to be excellent.  We had so many great players out there...and some, well they had a great time and both were so important to the $40,000 that was raised for Judson Education Foundation scholarships and grants. There will be a lot of students and teachers that will benefit from all this.  A big thank you to all the sponsors, donors, players and of course a big high five to all the volunteers.
