The Judson ISD Transportation Department invites you to review the safety procedures and guidelines as they apply to JISD buses and the safe transport of your child. We continue to look for new ways to make these important times of the day as safe and efficient as possible. As school begins, one of the standard sights you'll see is the yellow school buses rolling down the road. There is an opportunity for your student to find out what bus they'll be riding and even meet their bus driver. It's happening Friday, August 21, 2015 at Wagner High School from 6 pm to 8 pm. This will also be a chance for parents and students to find out pickup and drop off times and anything else they might want to know. Also, as school gets started, we all need to be mindful again while we drive of stopping when buses are loading and unloading students. We want it to be a safe year of travels.
The folks with the JISD Transportation Department called the "Yellow Brigade" organize a toy drive each year to help out families during the holiday season. This is the 3rd year for them to do it and they want to say thank you to all that helped them this year as they assisted a family from Converse Elementary School. Merry Christmas

Converse Elementary School has a great program going on at it's campus that encourages positive behavior. Last year the school began implementing it on school buses. It began as a complete set of expectations were rolled out from a volunteer committee. Part of the emphasis is an incentive program to reward exceptional behavior on school buses...a "Student of the Month" is recognized for each bus. Converse is proud to report that through its records, referrals were shown to be down 75% in 2013 over the previous year so it's going well. In September of this school year there was only one bus referral...that is super! Let's congratulate the school and these students on being respectful to others on the bus or wherever they are.
Bus Students of the Month for September 2014 are: Bus 4 - Victoria Winkler, Bus 108 - Gisele Newman, Bus 114 - Brooklyn Ellis, Bus 11 - Uriah Bennett, Bus 2 - Kati Casimiro, Bus 6 - Megan Potts, Bus 81 - Andrew Johnson, Bus 117 - Dariana Ranken
