The Yellow Brigade Easter Egg Hunt

Easter is right around the corner and you may be looking for an egg hunt in addition to your own backyard egg search.  The Judson ISD Yellow Brigade, the district's  transportation department's community service group is putting together its 4th Annual Easter Egg Hunt.  The Easter Bunny is scheduled for a return visit to meet the kids after he's hidden all the eggs. There will be fun and games and of course, the egg hunt.  This will be April 19th at 102 School Street (Adjacent to Judson High School) in Converse. It'll all start at noon and last until 2 pm.

If you have any questions or you'd like to assist the Yellow Brigade call Michelle Kern at 945-1265.

2 girls ages 6 and 11

1 boy age 9

Please wrap present and write age and gender on gift before taking to the Transportation Training Office before December 19th.  Thank you for your help.

Know Your School Bus Driver?

The driver that takes your student to and from school each day is an important person.  It can make them more comfortable, especially the young ones, to be familiar with that person behind the wheel.  You can get that friendship off on the right foot with the 3rd Annual School Bus Rally.  On August 23rd from 5:30 to 7:30 pm all the bus drivers will be on hand at Judson High School and Wagner High School to answer any questions about routes, pickup times and special needs. Which high school do you go to for the bus rally? You can determine that by which high school your student's current school feeds into.  For example, if your child attends Masters Elementary or Metzger Middle Schools they would go to Wagner High School for the rally. If they attend Converse or Judson Middle Schools, Judson High School is your bus rally site.

Bus Safety Poster Winners

It's the first year for the School Bus Safety Poster Contest, but it got a great response from students.  The Judson Transportation Department voted on the entries that totaled more than 50. They came from elementary and middle schools and were divided in to Division1 and Division 3.  They were entered in the recent CENTEX (Central Texas Association for Pupil Transportation) meeting and one of the entries will be going to the TAPT (Texas Association for Pupil Transportation) state conference. Here's how it all ended up.

Division 3: First Place: William Gabriel (Metzger MS), Second Place: Eliann Jimenez (Metzger MS), Third Place: Emily Newcome (Metzger MS)
