Judson Theater Students Advance In Competition

Left to right. Jaden Cervera, Analissa Valdez, Alexis Patterson

Theater students recently converged on Ronald Reagan High School for the annual "Dutch" National Qualifying Tournament.  The team from Judson High School made a huge impression on the contest with over half of the team making it to the final round.  They took two national bids as well as two more state qualifers and ended the event earning their second Sweepstakes Trophy of the season. Congratulations on such great performances and good luck at the next step.  Their coaches are Larry Bailey and Larissa Brien.

Congratulations, JISD Football All-Stars

San Antonio is an incredible hotbed for high school football.  You'd be hard pressed to exceed the level of talent anywhere else in the state.  That's one of the reasons the U.S Army All-American Bowl is played each year at the Alamodome right here in San Antonio.  Both Judson and Wagner have players that will be on the field for the annual game that is played each year typically after New Year’s Day.  The game is set for January 6th at 5 pm and will be televised on KMYS-TV.   Congratulations to these JISD student athletes for this great honor.

It's HAMMERBOWL Time! Judson-Wagner

It's always a great game with each school's tradition of competition, colors, bands, cheerleaders...you name it.  Throw out the records because anything can happen at this game.  Both teams are heading down the back stretch of the regular season and have played quality opponents in one of the toughest UIL districts in the entire state.  Let's all show up and support our student athletes on the field and at the same time show respect to the opponent.  It should be a fun time and a great opportunity to see some of the best high school athletes in the city right in our own backyard.

JLA Teams Up To Help Hurricane Victims

Judson Learning Academy held their own drive to help out those affected by Hurricane Harvey. The donations were collected by the school and personally delivered by JLA Principal LaTanya Baker and staff to Katy Academy. What a wonderful way to give back!
