9-11 Memorial, Pausing To Remember

Seventeen years ago...September 11th in 2001, our country experienced a very dark and troubling day that shook us from the inside out...but in it, conversely, there grew a deep resolution that something much greater than ourselves will sustain us.  The sacrifices that were made on that day and the following days are worthy of remembering. LTC Karen J. Wagner who lost her life at the Pentagon that day was a 1979 graduate of Judson High School and was a leader, even as a student,  in every sense of the term. She was a high impact athlete, ROTC leader, and an excellent student.

Students and administrators gathered at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery for a remembrance ceremony that included a brief history of Karen Wagner's life and accomplishments and what all of us can learn from a life well lived. The gathering concluded with a wreath laying and an echo version of taps.
