A Night All About Literacy At Paschall

Even though the weather wasn't great, there was a great turnout at Paschall Elementary for their annual Literacy Night.  There was a fun activity that each grade level organized for the event that was geared toward reading.  They also put together some awesome themed baskets that parents and students could win during the course of the evening.  Each student participating was given a ticket and asked to complete three activities that were set up. There was everything from storytelling, public library card signup, sight word bingo, writing word bingo and a number of other great stations.  After they completed that, they turned their ticket in for a free book and a chance to win one of the great baskets.  A big word of thanks to Literacy Night Committee Chairperson Dawn Cole and Mary McHaney.
