Cardboard Kids Displayed At Hopkins

April is designated as National Child Abuse Prevention Month. Hopkins Elementary school showed their support for preventing child abuse by displaying cardboard kids all around the school. They had outstanding participation in the event, sponsored by ChildSafe.

To bring awareness to this incredibly urgent issue, ChildSafe created the Cardboard Kids Campaign. Cardboard Kids are 2-foot tall cardboard figures shaped like children that represent one of the thousands of children that are abused and neglected in our community each year. Community members, businesses and families are encouraged each year to decorate and display their own Cardboard Kids on “Reveal Day” on April 5. Hopkins was proud to participate in the mission of ending child abuse in Bexar County.
