Coronado Village Summer Parade

Coronado Village Elementary celebrated it's third year participating in the Texas 21st Century grant program with a neighborhood parade. Around 200 students attended this summer's after school program at Coronado Village that involved a number of activities that were both exciting and stretched the mind.
The parade highlighted some of those programs like cooking, Karate and improving reading and math skills. The school also hosted several fun booths and exhibits after the parade featuring a number of the event's sponsors. The program will wrap up for the summer on July 31st, but the school says it's been such a success that it received another $130,000 in federal funding for reaching goals set by the grant's guidelines.
