Foul Shot Canned Food Drive At Kirby

There are all sorts of ways to draw people into helping out some of the local charities. Kirby Middle School had an interesting idea that included basketball foul shots.  This was a competition between grade levels where those students that brought 3 canned goods will get a chance to shoot 5 free throws on the school basketball court. If they brought a can of yams they got an extra shot.  Prizes went to the one boy and one girl who made the most free throws.  All the canned goods went to benefit Fountain Christian Food Bank in Kirby to help out familes in need during the holidays.  The canned yams went to the Raul Jimenez Thanksgiving Dinner event.  Thank you everyone who participated.
