Hopkins Elementary Celebrates 50 Years

One of the oldest campuses in Judson ISD was first known as Kirby Elementary School but was later changed to Hopkins Elementary after the late Joseph Hopkins. Mr. Hopkins was a respected and effective principal that made a difference with students, staff, and teachers.  The school recently celebrated its 50 years of education with a special community event with thoughts from teachers and students alike.  The kids also created a "Kindness Garden" by painting rocks with words of encouragement on them. A bench and tree were also dedicated in honor of Mr. Hopkins who served as principal at the campus for 30 years.
