Judson ISD

International Baccalaureate Info Meetings

Judson HS will host two information meetings for students and parents about the IB Diploma Program on February 11th and February 12th in the Judson HS library at 6:00 pm.

The IB Diploma Program is open to all Judson ISD students.  The IB Diploma Program aims to develop students who have excellent breadth and depth of knowledge – students who flourish physically, intellectually, emotionally and ethically.  The curriculum for the program is made up of six subject groups and a core that includes the theory of knowledge, creativity, activity, and service, and an extended essay research project.  The six subject groups include English, Second Language, Social Studies, Experimental Sciences, Mathematics, and Arts or electives.

Students in 9th and 10th grade participate in the Judson ISD PreIB program and students in 11th and 12th grade take the courses and assessments that allow them to earn the IB Diploma.

Interested students who will be in 9th, 10th or 11th grades next year and their parents should plan on attending one of the meetings on February 11th or 12th.

For more information about the IB Diploma Program please contact Ms. Alexis McJilton, amcjilton@judsonisd.org, the IB Coordinator at Judson HS.
