JHS Shines at DECA State Career Development Conference

Judson High School students participated in the DECA State Career Development Conference in Corpus Christi.  Out of 17 students who competed, two students each received a $4,000 scholarship from Northwood University for Leadership & Career Development.  Congratulations to Gabriela Padilla and Madison Collins.  In addition, the DECA Chapter President, Alijah Talley, won as a State Finalist in his Retail Merchandising Series Event and earned a $500 scholarship from Johnson & Wales University.  As a state finalist, Alijah now has the opportunity to represent Texas (and Judson HS) at the DECA International Career Development Conference in Salt Lake City, UT on April 28-May 2, 2012.  Congratulations to these outstanding CTE students, and their teacher/advisor Ms. Diana Salazar.
