JISD High Schools Attend Workshop To Eliminate Bullying

The United Communities of San Antonio held a city wide workshop for all area high schools to attend. The event was held at the Institute of Texan Cultures and promoted a greater understanding between all of us in an effort to eliminate bullying, bigotry, prejudice and racism within the school environment. Students from Judson ISD, Somerset ISD, NISD, Cornerstone Schools and Central Catholic were represented. Thanks to the strong support of Dr. Montoya and Dr. Cantu by providing transportation for all the students and counselors that attended the event. Also, thanks to UCSA and Ms. Maudie Muraida for helping the community build leaders, who in turn will become allies and advocates for everyone.

Just say NO.......................to Bullying !!!!

James Hamilton

Bullying gets in the way of education. Students should be taught about the potentially lasting psychological impacts of bullying. There are NO positives that come out of discrimination.
GREAT program!
