JISD Police Chief Ramon Receives State Award

Chief Ramon with officers attending TxSBLE conference in Corpus Christi

JISD Police Chief Teresa Ramon has been helping keep our students and staff safe for years now and her contributions to school safety even go beyond the district boundaries.  Because of her impact here and beyond, at its recent state conference, the Texas School Based Law Enforcement (TxSBLE) recently awarded her with a Lifetime Achievement Award. This is a pioneering award that recognizes law enforcement officers who have established and sustained efforts toward keeping schools safe and secure.

Chief Ramon has built her 20 year career not only around knowing the law as it applies to school safety, but also consideration and professionalism with student and staff that has been returned with deep appreciation and respect from them.  She has been with Judson ISD for 14 years and even recently took her experience and perspective to the White House participating in a special panel discussion that focused on women and the criminal justice system. We congratulate Chief Ramon on this recognition and express thanks for all she has done for the safety of our campuses and her contributions to law enforcement.
