Judson FFA Places In State CDE Contests

Members of the Judson FFA got the chance to test their knowledge in the best way...practically.  Students traveled to several cities...Stephenville, Lubbock, Huntsville and College Station to compete in what are called Career Development Events or CDEs. These events build on what is learned in the classroom in ag classes and puts it into practice in real life applications. Different CDEs focused on specific areas in the agriscience world.  Judson FFA students participated in the state Homesite, Dairy Cattle, Wool, Cotton, Nursery Landscape and Veterinary Science. 

Judson's Nursery Landscape team (not pictured) came in 20th in the state. Team members include Tyler Bledsoe, Caleb Brister, Keshia Gutierrez and Daryn Garcia. 

Judson's Home Site Evaluation team placed 9th in state. Pictured are Tarleton Professor, Advisor Michael Zarosky, Team members Regan Stanton, Alexandria Covarrubias, Brooke Duncan (2nd High Individual) and Emilee Hurst. 

Judson's Dairy Cattle team placed 7th in state. 249 Dairy Cattle teams began the state tournament. Team members include Advisor Andrea Watts, Tyler Bledsoe, Joshua Borg, Mallori Johnson and Mary Push

Judson's Wool Evaluation team placed 9th in the state competition. Team members include Jocelyn Hodgson, Sarah Stautzenberger, Haley Klar and Kelsey Shumake (4th High Individual).

Judson's Cotton Evaluation team placed 49th in the state. Team members includ Sydney Berry, Breanna Hall and Brandon Billeck

Judson's Veterinary Science team came in 23rd in the state.  Team members include Marissa Nordland, Amethyst Godina, Amanda May and Madeline Cerda.
