Judson HS Auto Body Gets Grant

Collision Repair students working on class project

Students in the Judson High School Auto Body and Refinishing program now have another reason to be at the top of a potential employers list to hire.  The program applied for and won a grant from I-CAR (Inter Industry Conference of Auto Collision Repair).  The grant covered the curriculum certification fee which is not cheap and now students have the opportunity to graduate and earn an I-CAR Platinum certification which is another way of saying they are well trained.

The I-CAR program focuses 30% of student's time in the classroom and 70% in the shop using what they learn.  Industry experts know that this curriculum stays ahead of the changes that seem to happen all the time.  More than 6,000 collision repair businesses across the country hire I-CARE Platinum professionals.

these programs are fantastic! as we know not all students will be attending a four year college so these programs are vital for our community as a whole to produce future employees with the knowledge to be quite productive in the work force.
