Kitty Hawk Art Students Practice Plein Air Work

The Art III students at Kitty Hawk recently had the chance to tour the McNay Museum. The viewing emphasized landscapes in the museum's collection.  It was a great experience for them because afterwards, they all found a pleasing spot to work on their own plein air creation.  Plein air is the act of creating a work such as a landscape drawing or painting by leaving the indoor studio behind and working in that natural environment.  It may have been a bit warm, but they all found a little shade.
