Kitty Hawk SkillsUSA Team Wins 3rd National Title

Dara Billeck, Mya Brune, Yanderli Garcia, Jalayna Zahnley, Elliana Guardado, Victoria Mata, and Shelby Luker.

It's no secret that the Kitty Hawk Middle School SkillsUSA program is effective and gives students a lot of opportunities. The quality continues to be displayed each year as students participate and move up the levels in state competition.  The Kitty Hawk Opening and Closing Teams were definitely flying high this year going to the third consecutive national competition in Louisville, Kentucky and for the third year in a row this team won the SkillsUSA Championships in Opening and Closing Ceremonies.

Opening and Closing Ceremonies is a teamwork contest of oral presentation that effectively shows their understanding of the symbolic representation of the organization's emblem according to the script and description in the SkillsUSA Technical Standards. SkillsUSA is a nonprofit partnership of students, instructors, and industry that ensures that America has the skilled workforce it needs to stay competitive.
