Kitty Hawk Stellar At SkillsUSA Contest

Congratulations to Mrs. Rumfield's SkillsUSA students who did a great job at the last SkillsUSA contest. This was an event that saw both middle school and high school students competing. Alyssa Reynolds took 1st place in prepared speech, Cole Marbach, Justin Harlan and Matthew Hill placed 1st in presenting the emblem ceremony.  In the Construction Tool ID contest, Tre Satterfield took 1st place, Johnny Fruenhrich 2nd, Brandon Nefford was 3rd completely shutting out any high schoolers from placing in that event.  Alyssa Reynolds also took home a first place prize for her wooden turned magnifying glass. Brandon Nefford's pen/pencil wood turned set won a 1st place prize, Tre Satterfield  won 1st place on his acrylic turned pen. Johnny Fruenhrich got top prize for his wood turned pen. Matthew Hill, Justin Harlan and Cole Marbach also teamed together to win 1st place with a bench/table they built.  Some very talented students...congratulations!! 1st place winners go on to state!
