Metzger Orchestra Wins Sweepstakes

When you genuinely work hard at something, looking always to improve, you usually get rewarded.  That's what the students in the Metzger Middle School Orchestra are finding out.  All their hard work this year was recognized at the Region 12 UIL Concert and Sight-Reading Competition.  The Metzger Advanced Orchestra scored a top rating from judges in the Concert performance. They then showed how well they can read and perform music they've never seen before, called Sight-reading, by receiving a highest rating in that category too.  Their achievement is not an easy one to accomplishment. The students were dedicated to rehearsals, individual practice and pushed themselves to see how far they could go.  Strings Director Brian Coker also wanted to thank the parents and guardians of the students in the program who attended concerts, drove their students to practices and listened to them play each day as they got better and better. You also have had a big part in making this program awesome.  Congratulations Everyone!
