New Explorer Posts Make Splash At Contest

Both Judson and Wagner High Schools have brand new Explorer Post groups and in October both participated in their very first contest. The Alamo Area Law Enforcement Explorer Competition drew Explorer teams from all over the state including groups from Dallas, Houston and the Valley. Among a field of 60 teams, these two newly formed Explorer posts made their presence known. Keep in mind, they were instructed and tutored by the JISD Police Department in procedure and safety. Wagner took first place in Hostage Negotiation and third place in Arrest, Search and Seizure.  Meanwhile, Judson did well too taking 3rd place in Traffic Stop.  It was a great team effort because even the students that didn't compete but are part of the post helped in preparing team members for the competition by acting as subjects in practice scenarios.  Outstanding!!
