Paschall Students Explore Careers

The Paschall Elementary School Career Day was a super event with lots of participation, but this event was a little different in the way it was organized.  That's because it wasn't just school staff giving input and putting the time into piecing it all together...the students did.  The school's 4th grade Career Club helped School Counselor Ms. Hume put this whole thing together. Parents and community members came in representing businesses and organizations such as Flowers Bakery, Channel 4 TV News, HEB, UTSA, the City of Kirby, the City of San Antonio and Bexar County.  Also presenting were scientists, engineers and medical professionals...even students from the Wagner Fashion Design program gave their take on what they do and how they hope to be successful.

The school's Career Club has been very active this year and this event was a culmination of their passion and interest.  Students met weekly through the year with a couple of field trips that were stimulating.  They visited Wagner High School Career Pathways in the fall and the San Antonio Toyota Factory in the winter before helping with this grand finale for the year.  Great job!
