Ribbon Cut On Patriot Print & Cosmetology Centers

The JISD Career and Technology Education continues to expand and evolve.  This time Veterans Memorial's Digital Print and Cosmetology was spotlighted. While these two popular programs have been operating for a while they are relatively new and were formally acknowledged with a ribbon cutting. After Superintendent Dr. Jeanette Ball cut the ribbon on the education centers, the event turned into a show and tell opportunity for administrators, students and the community to learn more about what each program offers.

The Cosmetology Center has been up and operating for a bit, it has continued to expand and add new features and options.  The curriculum itself is geared toward multiple levels of studies that direct students down the path for certification and licensing.

The Digital Print Shop program has brought the latest technology and service into this center. It will be managed by Dahill with their professional staff to instruct and help run the shop with students learning the business and the techniques of quality creation and duplication of documents and imaging.  Before the actual ribbon cutting, a number of JISD administrators and directors were invited to a tour of the center to see how the whole system works and ask questions about the process and how the district can utilize this program for its own printing needs.

The ribbon cutting is a testimony to the vibrant CTE program that Judson ISD is growing for students to give them the options that make a difference after graduation.
