Signings For Two Judson Softball Stars

The softball team at Judson High School has some great student athletes and colleges and universities in Texas and beyond are paying attention.

First, Alexis Elemen who is a four-year softball letterman at Judson High School signed a letter of intent to study and play at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor.  Alexis has been a great infielder for the Rockets...even as a freshman when she was Honorable mention. She played shortstop and third base her sophomore and junior years and continued to garner All-district recognition. Academically Alexis has been involved with the National Honor Society and Student Council and will be attending MHBU on an academic scholarship while she plays softball. Her major will be Pre-Physical Therapy. She is the daughter of Eric and Angela Elemen.

Then there is Amari Borrego, a two-year letterman in softball who signed a letter of intent with the University of Mount Olive in North Carolina. She has been the starting 2nd baseman for the Rockets Softball team and has received All District and Academic All-District honors.  Amari is currently ranked 5th in her class and has earned not only an athletic scholarship, but also an academic scholarship to UMO. She will major in biology with the plan of pursuing medical school.  Amari is the daughter of Sergio and Monica Borrego.
