Transition Fair Helps Families To Be Informed

The Department of Special Education along with the Military Family and College Readiness Dept. hosted a Transition Fair at Copperfield ES on Jan. 31st. Parents met with 20 different agencies, learned about waiver/interest list and services from an Alamo Local Authority representative, and received information on Guardianship/ Guardianship Alternatives, Special Needs Trust, and ABLE Accounts from Ms. Alison Packard, attorney.

The event helped parents and guardians with the unique needs of their students and what resources are available to support them so they can help their child be successful.
