What's For Lunch? Paschall Gets Student Feedback

Sometimes it's a balancing act for school lunch planners to serve food that is both healthy and that students will eat.  In fact, some experts put the value of food waste at U.S. school cafeterias at around $1 billion dollars a year. At Paschall Elementary School the Student Health Advisory Committee recently met with Delia Hensel (Cafeteria Manager), Cecilia Alvarez (Social Worker) and Maria Estrada (Child Nutrition Supervisor). It was a meeting where the student committee members gave feedback and made suggestions for changes in the cafeteria menu...as long as they meet nutritional guidelines.
