Judson HS Athletics gives back to Converse FD
Over the weekend, Judson High School Athletics participated in a program-wide community service project at the Converse Fire Department. Over 125 athletes gathered early at 7:30 a.m., paintbrush in hand, to give the fire department a much-needed paint job. Every spot of red that was visible received a makeover, including doors, handles, fire lanes, and the front fire emblem.
“This is what Rocket Pride is all about,” head softball coach Theresa Urbanovsky said. “All of our female programs, wrestling, swim, baseball and Judson Middle school athletes gave back to our Converse Fire Department. This is the biggest comment service event I have been a part of since coaching at Judson HS for the past 23 years. Moments like this is the start of a generational habit. These kids were examples of servant leadership.”
