Judson ISD Is Rated As Recognized (B) District By TEA
Judson ISD made significant gains in performance across all content areas over the past year as the District earned a rating of B (Recognized) from the Texas Education Agency. This accountability score included one of the biggest year-to-year spikes in recent district history across the board with an 11-point jump over last year.
The news was formally released and explained to the Board of Trustees in its regular August meeting. Superintendent Dr. Jeanette Ball summarized the rating from the state by saying, “this is such great news because this has truly been a team effort of so many different people that have been committed to doing what it takes to help our students reach their potential that we knew was there all along. While we are very pleased, this rating is not a final destination. We’ll continue to work to constantly improve the quality of instruction in the classroom.”
The news of the B rating (Recognized) as a result of this progress, comes at a time when all districts across Texas, including Judson ISD, have faced budget cuts while still trying to provide quality education. It is with great anticipation JISD looks forward to continuing to build on this success in the coming year.
