JISD Board Accepts Macias' Resignation, Replacement Process Begins
The Judson ISD Board of Trustees accepted the resignation of Board Secretary Jose Macias, Jr. during its regular meeting on September 12, 2019. Macias has been appointed to serve an unexpired term on the Alamo Colleges Board, so he submitted his letter of resignation to the JISD Board. Macias was first elected to the District 4 seat in 2010. As a result of this vacancy, the JISD Board of Trustees begins the process of filling Macias' unexpired term.
Applications for appointment to fill the unexpired term of Board of Trustee position District 4 will be accepted until September 23, 2019, at 9 a.m. The Board of Trustees is seeking applications to fill the vacant Trustee position for District 4. Applications may be submitted to Betty Holmes, Secretary to the Board of Trustees, Judson Independent School District, 8012 Shin Oak Dr., Live Oak, Texas 78233, until 9:00 a.m. on September 23, 2019. Applications received after this date/time will not be considered. The application form is available on our website or in the Superintendent’s Office and must be fully completed and notarized. Applications submitted electronically, including email applications, cannot be accepted. Applicants must reside within District 4 and meet certain eligibility requirements as stated in the application. The selected applicant will serve the unexpired term until a general election is held in May 2021.

- September 23, 2019 - Close Applications at 9 a.m.
- September 23, 2019 - Special Board Meeting to screen candidates, 6:00 p.m.
- October 1, 2019 - Candidate Interviews, 6:00 - 9:00 p.m.
- October 2, 2019 - Candidate Interviews, 6:00 - 9:00 p.m.
- October 10, 2019 - Regular Board Meeting, 6:00 pm, Appoint and swear in new Board Member
