The Wagner High School Counseling Staff has been a fantastic group of professionals that work with our high school students at so many different levels. So much so, others outside the district are noticing too. This group was recently selected for the Military Above and Beyond Award. Ms. Shamia Coleman nominated this team through the Air Force Public Affairs Office and they are now set to be recognized and honored at a special Luncheon on November 13, 2019.
They are Carolina Alfaro, Dawn Hart, Lauren Earl-Jones, Shamia Coleman, Kellye Jackson, Donna Carranza, Alissa Perez, Patricia Santos, and Maria Garcia.
Congratulations to these wonderful and caring professionals.
The ARC of San Antonio's annual Achievers of the Year Awards Banquet. This recognition is awarded to 35-40 individuals of all ages with special needs who have mastered a task or achieved a major goal over the past year. For individuals with disabilities, the range of accomplishment runs the gamut. This week, Judson ISD’s Gerrardo Rodriguez from Wagner High School was recognized in the Adult Years Vocational Program. Congratulations to him.
We wanted to recognize Mr. Jose Macias, Jr for his years of service on the Judson ISD Board of Trustees. Mr. Macias was elected to the Judson Board of Trustees in 2010. He expressed his honor many times in representing the constituency of district 4. He is a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, a graduate of San Antonio College and Our Lady of the Lake University. He recently was appointed to the Alamo Colleges Board of Trustees so he says goodbye to his District 4 position, but we wanted to honor him this evening for his service to the board and Judson ISD students.
