1. Judson ISD has so many great teachers and it's wonderful to see other organizations recognize our great staff for what they do. The Top Teachers of America, a part of Who's Who In America recognized Spring Meadows Teacher Kristi Wlodarczyk for the wonderful work she is doing in her classroom. Part of what makes her classroom unique is teaching the principles of integrity, kindness, and respect through life lessons whenever opportunities arise.
2. The Wagner Thunderbird Football team has been a force to be reckoned with in the past couple of seasons. The team has seen two back to back seasons where their wins were in the double digits and they made it to the state semi-finals both years. The commitment from the players and the coaches really is a testimony to their hard work and leadership and we wanted to recognize them tonight.

3. The Texas Music Educators Association recently hosted its auditions for All-State Band and Choir groups and three more Wagner student musicians made it to the state level. These students have been recognized as the best of the best. Only a tiny fraction of the musicians in the state achieve this recognition. Leo Peery was a Bass 1 Choir selection, while Kenna Knowles was tapped for a seat in the trumpet section, and Izcalli Guadarrama was picked for an All-State tuba position. And Ian Fernandez was an All-State Orchestra selection.
These students performed with their respective groups Saturday, February 15th, at the TMEA All-State Convention held at the Lila Cockrell Theatre in the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center here in San Antonio.
Judson ISD's Cybersecurity program which started with the opening of the Veterans Memorial High School campus in 2016 has a new teacher this school year, Mr. Bailey, who works tirelessly to provide our students the tools to achieve industry-recognized certification to qualify them for high-paying in-demand job opportunities. With great strides being made with this program of study at Veterans Memorial High School, we wanted to acknowledge and thank those who have shown unique support for the program. The Greater Randolph Partners in Education Foundation (GRAPIE/PIE), made it possible for many students to become industry certified through their financial contributions of more than $4000.00!
